SAVAK : "Green & Desperate" 45

We currently have 4 in stock.

Three years and 2 LPs in, Brooklyn, NY’s SAVAK delivers their 2nd 7”
of 2018 for the brand new České Budějovice-based Czech label Orangerie.

“Green & Desperate” finds Michael Jaworski crooning “Empires rise, empires fall; some people’s view of the the world is small” over a track that manages to be simultaneously bouncy and melancholy. Imagine The Jam covering Roy Orbison. Perfect for those who like their doo-wop with a side of broken Fender Tweed.

On the flip side, “This Dying Lake,” Sohrab Habibion references both Steely Dan and the Manson Family in an ode to the woes of aging. The band slithers along like a Nomads riff sent through a fax machine. “Deadbeats driven to serve, lost in the smoke, counting down the big clock. We’re just swimming in this dying lake.” Equal parts viscous and vicious.

Full-color cover printed in Czech Republic. Black vinyl with red & yellow labels, includes download code, limited to 300 copies. Kup nyní, přátelé!!
